The first time I met Aly Spaltro and heard the music of Lady Lamb the Beekeeper was at an open mic in Portland. Her last song was “Walrus”. I invited her to play The Tower of Song, a monthly concert series that took place on the top floor of one of Portland’s oldest buildings, and she brought along her new bandmate TJ Metcalfe. They had been working on some new songs together, and I asked if I could help release them. That’s how Eternal Otter Records started. Lady Lamb the Beekeeper doesn’t just write great songs about life, she writes songs that make you want to do great things with your life. -WTE (Eternal Otter Records)
